Triiodothyronine inhibits TSH secretion through a non-genomic mechanism

TSH is the main regulator of the thyroid hormones (THs) synthesis/secretion, which in turn exert a negative feedback mechanism on the Tshb mRNA expression in the pituitary gland by reducing their transcription rate.
